And in between Matt must save hapless victims from grotesque and gruesome torture and death inflicted by passing war parties; foil the plans of greedy, plotting gamblers and gunfighters and avoid the prosecution by one very unethical would-be lawman--all to save the woman he loves and build a home in the volatile, yet breathtaking Texas frontier.
